:) Just glad my plan worked. Early on I figured everyone was going to go after every prospect Tucker or I bid on, so I had to come up with something. My strat will be completely different in future years but for that initial draft I felt like it was really important to get AA-AAA level prospects.

And I did notice that after I finished my draft early you started poaching guys like Gilioto (who we all know I'm a huge fan of) and Fried. I wish I had another 10 roster spots and 50 bucks :)

Haha yeah I was really interested to look back at the numbers after reading what you had sent over.

My prospect strategy was to generally take guys farther away. Giolito, Fried, Williams, etc. all fit that mold. I wasn't necessarily waiting for you to leave the draft to pick them up, I just wanted to get my MLB roster set first haha.

Yeah it was hard for me cause I have a lot of guys in the lower range I like a lot, but that's something I start doing in 14-15 when some of my cheaper prospects now hit the ML. Wanted to get all of the near the majors guys I could get for now, and I totally got beat out for a few I wanted, but only had so much money and spots to give. Like I said, I'm not even planning on going for it this season, if it happens, cool, but next year and going forward...watch out.

I spaced a little at some points, and I had some guys I would have liked go just a dollar or two more than I was willing to spend because I had to tighten the purse strings around the 20 player mark. Willingham comes to mind.

Willingham felt like a steal for me. I was really pleased with picking him up for $13.
I do feel like you got most of the near-majors guys, which is why I think your team will be so strong 2014-on.

Yeah I mean, I really had no other ideas. I knew I didn't want to pay over $40 for anyone, I barely went over $30. Then I had this stupid idea that maybe I could steal some prospects if I could scare everyone into thinking I had lost my mind and was going to pay insane prices for ALL of them. Tavarez I don't think I went over $5 on. I wanted Gausman more than I wanted Bundy, but after my risky overspending play with DB and Profar, I really didn't have the money to go a couple bucks over on some other guys I wanted like Zunino, Gausman, or Simmons. We'll see if it works out in the end.

I took a chance that I know value picks late in the draft well enough to get some production and waste the money on prospects for this season. I kinda took the approach I would have if this was real MLB baseball. Build a contender, not a one and done team.
