Jim Berkman, head coach of Salisbury University's men's lacrosse team, will be inducted Saturday, October 26 into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame. In 25 years at the helm of the program, Berkman has directed the team to 25 winning seasons, 17 Capital Athletic Conference titles, 10 NCAA Division III national titles (seven in undefeated seasons), four national runner-up finishes, and four national semifinalist finishes. He has been CAC coach of the year eight times and the USILA National Coach of the Year three times.

This was a real no-brainer.

Yeah it doesn't get much easier than this.  Congrats to Coach Berkman on a heck of a career, hopefully he's got a few more titles in him before he hangs em up.

I would hope so also. It would be great for him to take it to at least an even 30 at SU; if he does, I imagine he'll get at least one or two more. He's won a national title 40% of the time he's been there (and over 50% of the time since winning his first in '94). That's fantastic in any division in any sport.
