I think the Terps pull this one out. Maybe they'll have a bit of a let down following the very good performance that just fell short against Carolina, but they need a win, and I think they'll get it tonight.

I think barring a miracle finish that the NCAAs are now an extreme long shot, but I do think that the team can make the NIT and I would be very interested in seeing them play in that tournament.

I agree that the NCAA's are a long shot, and an NIT bid would be a solid accomplishment for a team not expected to accomplish much. I applaud Turgeon and his young squad on their efforts thus far.

Clemson is not very good this year, but I will never dismiss a conference road win. Nice job by our boys tonight.

Boy, you think what could have been had they pulled out those wins against Miami and UNC. I know it's a pointless effort, but still.

Pe'shon is a mess right now. I hope he gets it together soon.

Sloppy, hard-fought game in the first half. Terps played fantastic in the second half until about the 6:30 mark, then everything went to hell.

Pe'shon wasn't exactly excelling prior to that part, but he was utterly abysmal after that. Made some of the dumbest, most fundamentally wrong mistakes a PG can make in trying to break that press. I also felt that Turgeon needed to do more to get the team under control in how to work that press. They did a good job breaking the full court, but could not solve the half-court trapping 1-3-1 defense. He needed to call at least one more time out than he did and show them how to better attack that defense. Then add in the two missed front ends and the foul on the late 3-pt attempt, and Pe played about as bad as you can play over that final 6 to 7 minutes. Not good, we need him to get out of his recent funk.

On the other hand, Stoglin and Mosley were both terrific. Stoglin was as efficient as I've ever seen him. I never get upset when he takes bad shots - because he's the only good offensive player on the team and a bad shot from him is about as likely to go in as a good look from anyone else - but last night he took almost exclusively good shots and hit a ton of them. For a shorter guy who isn't a great leaper, he's got an amazing ability to get his jumper off in traffic. Faust looked pretty good for the most part, but still a had few moments where he looked over his head. He's definitely improving over the last few games, though, it looks like the game may be slowing down for him. His slashing ability will be a big asset to the team going forward, because someone who can attack the defense and either get to the rim or kick it out is something this team really needs.

Mosley was nailing his open jumpers and played some really good defense. Bad awareness of where he was on that last defensive in-bounds from Clemson, but it was smart to catch and just throw the ball in the air. Had he been in bounds, that play ends the game without Clemson getting a shot. But still, gotta know where you are on the court. Aside from that, I thought he had one of his best games of the season.
