Feel pretty confident both will get plenty.  Went with Diaz as he's closer to the Majors.

I'll vote Diaz. "Fun" question.

I mean its obvious Diaz is going to get PAs as an O. Thats far from a given with Kjerstad at this point. You got his health and he'll have to perform enough in the minors. You'd have to give some odds to have anyone realistically take Kjerstad.

A better debate might be Diaz vs Cowser since there is less uncertainty with Cowser's health

Well I am voting Kjerstad. I think there is a big chance that Diaz gets some and Kjerstad gets zero. But IF Kjerstad gets his health squared away then I think he will have way more at bats because I think Diaz is not going to cut it in the majors. Now what would be great would be if they both got a lot of at bats in the majors!!

I went with Kjerstad too but I still think both will get major league at bats.

Diaz, but the difference won't be very much, and Kjerstad's number will be 0.

I refuse to write a kid off, for health reasons, especially when I think he will eventually recover.

Kjerstad.

At least today, the opportunity will be better aligned for Kjerstad than Diaz AS AN ORIOLE (which was the question).

You've got Hays, Mullins and Santander (surprised he's still here) taking NOW ABs and a number of guys that are coming up behind Diaz.

At some point, the numbers don't work and Diaz could easily be the odd man out for routine opportunity. You need to transition the 40-man spot for a different player.  An Elias guy like Stowers could easily consume Diaz's opportunity.

Kjerstad is certainly going to be slow played getting him built back up, but there's less certainty about a future (2-4 years) roster and he'll have a chance to fit in.
