Yeah, I am about to head to the airport in a couple of hours and begin a two week vacation in France. Never could I have imagined that this trip would take me out of the country during a baseball postseason with the Orioles participating in them, but it looks like it will happen. My wife called it years ago, when we started discussing this trip for our 10th anniversary. She was joking of course, but at the beginning of the season when the O's were playing well, she was sure of it even though I was of the "wait and see" approach. She gave me the option to push back the trip, but I never thought in my wildest dreams we'd be where we are today. Plus, even if I did, I couldn't have done that to my wife. She's had a tough year so far and this trip means a lot to her, and me. I know she feels guilty about it but I am at peace with it. I'll be sightseeing and relaxing by day and watching the games at 1 AM or later on my Slingbox and I am sure they will create some good memories. So to those of you who are here and able to attend games and celebrate with fellow O's fans, cherish this. It's been 15 and who knows, it could be another 15 years until we are back here.

I'll be popping in here when I can, so I wont totally disappear, but hopefully, the O's are still playing when I get back on October 14th. Man that would be special.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

That's awesome, Sean. Have a blast, and we'll keep hope alive here on the homefront!

It's karma for the bag years...

Have a good trip.

The French eat better than we do, and they do it every day. See what you learn about that and tell us when you get back...
