Among many other things, one of the things I'm most thankful for is BSL and this community. I love spending a few hours a day here to chat with all of you, read the awesome content and listen to the podcasts.

I hope everyone travels safe, eats well and gets what they want on Black Friday.

Cheers!

I appreciate our regular posters, and everything you've done to help the site.

To all... any family specialties you have every Thanksgiving? Anyone regularly do multiple meals / multiple houses on the day?

Does your family go out to eat somewhere?

We spend the day with my favorite fam up in Sykesville every year, watch the early and mid football games and come back home around 7-8. This year will be the first I start "Thanksgiving 2" on Saturday, since we never get leftovers, for us and a couple friends. Might as well take advantage of the cheap food deals this week. I got a 14 lb Turkey for 5.50 the other day.

Happy Turkey day to all, I'm sure I'll talk to you all this weekend at some point.

I'm still single, so fortunately it's just one Thanksgiving at the parents house with my brothers and nehews watching football and eating good. We also tend to throw back quite a few beverages. Probably my favorite day of the year. Picked the short straw at my office and have to work Black Friday though.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Hope everybody has a relaxing and filling day!

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones that gets 2 meals on Thanksgiving. We first go to my grandparents house around noon. After spending a couple hours eating and mingling there, we then head my in-laws house for a late afternoon feast! After the second meal, I will probably be ready for a nap!! :D

I am off work for Black Friday, but I think I am going to stay home for the first time in years. I just don't feel like spending the entire night/ early morning running from store to store. There is nothing that important that I need to be buying.

I'm biased, but my mom is an unbelieveable cook. I'm so happy when "we" host, as opposed to another family member for that reason. My mom always makes this great corn pudding among other things. I always look forward to the dessert choices.

Thanksgiving is probably my favorite day of the year. I do this race in Bethesda every year, always go to the same Starbucks post-race, go to my parents watch the parade, then watch football, the big meal.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I don't have too much interest in Black Friday, to each their own. However, I don't like all these stores opening on Thanksgiving night. It's just wrong to me to take people away from their families for non-essential workers. It was one thing when these stores opened at midnight but is 9 PM necessary? The stampedes at 7 am, can do for all I care.

Agreed, it's quite ridiculous, and hope I never have to experience any of that madness. I have to say though, the segment they spent talking about all of this on Elliott this morning was quite entertaining.

Didn't you do that at the Ravens game last year in Lot O? How'd that turn out?

I saw on my FB feed people camping out in the Denver suburbs yesterday for the start of Black Friday (which I'm sure exists elsewhere). I kind of wonder do these people have jobs?

When it comes to Black Friday, I never was one of the people that had to be in line when the stores opened their doors. I always got to the stores after they had opened and the mad rush was already over. I went to get some good deals on certain items, but I also liked to watch the people go crazy and hear them complain about the lines, the products that were already sold out, etc.

I do think it's crazy how stores are opening earlier and earlier each year. I remember when the stores would open "early" at 6am. Now we are seeing stores opening starting at 9pm on Thursday night. Pure madness!!

It's not like the deals are that great, I haven't really been impressed this season.

There are some pretty kick ass TV deals out there.

But talking to the BB employees, they basically said that outside of that and blue rays for $8, there isn't anything that jumps out at you.

Yeah I saw a deal similar to the one on the TV you got last year, and a couple smaller LEDs I liked, but overall I was kinda, meh about everything. I'll see if I can catch a couple things online, but I'm not gonna kill myself to do it, I did well online last year.

I hate turkey. It might be the worst tasting meat.

Happy T-Day to everyone though. Despite the turkey tradition, Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holliday now.
