I'm so hesitant to bet on the Ravens having 3 solid games in a row, not having any coaching blunders or ill-timed turnovers. On the other hand, going on the road isn't something that bother this team, and Lamar Jacksons record against the NFC where they don't face him often, or see him on film against the other teams they play often, can't be denied.  So many upsets last week, the market corrects itself this week and the favorites flourish.

Ravens 31 - Cardinals 10

The Ravens play their worst against bad teams, and have probably have been reading their own newspaper clippings all week.

They *should* win this game by a minimum 2 touchdowns, but I think they will inexplicably find a way to suck when even a mediocre game should give them an easy win.

It'll be a 3 point game one way or the other, and Hollywood goes for over 100 and two scores.

The Cardinals are bad though. Like bad bad. Colts and Steelers are mediocre. It's been probably since before the LJ era when the Ravens lost to a really bad team. If they did it was a Huntley start.

Your scenario is certainly possible but I do think they'll beat Arizona by a couple of touchdowns.  If the Ravens have any hope of making the playoffs and going deep into them, they have to at some point, show consistency on offense.  The defense, barring catastrophic injuries to key players(mainly Smith), will keep teams from running away with games so it will be up to the offense to do their part and do it every week.  They made huge progress against the Lion so now its time to show that it wasn't a one game extravaganza.

I just don't trust them. Not one bit. They've been in this situation before, flying high and on top of the world, only to come crashing and burning back to earth.

I agree. That doesn't, however, mean they're going to do what they need to do.

Miami a few years ago.  LJ had all kinds of trouble with the  Cover 0 defense the Dolphins threw at him.

They were 2-7 at the time but won 7 straight and finished over 500. There was apparently some good, or at least mediocre, in there.

I think the Ravens have shown progress on offense the past month.  The Steelers game, they did everything right but catch the damn ball.  I think if they do not drop 8 passes, they blow the Steelers.  Monken's system has been evolving every week, but the biggest difference last week, was we started to see the Oline come together as a group.  Lamar has been good all year, and I thought was very good against Pittsburgh until he got frustrated and played catch with Joey Porter Jr.  Had we caught the ball that day, that would have been the breakout game.  I expect the Ravens, if they can stay healthy to play like a top 5-10 offense, the rest of the year.  The pieces are there.

Lamar is playing much better against the blitz this year. I think with someone other than the human turnstile Villanueva covering his left side he should be okay even against a blitzing defense.

Monken is empowering him against the blitz with the quick slants/outs and screens to make it hard for the defense to get home on time.

Yeah, might want to update the preview narrative a bit since Conner is definitely on IR for a couple more weeks.

A let down game means the Ravens win by 10. A good game means they win by 20. The Cardinals are that bad but I can see us winning somewhere in between.

Pretty sure the same things were being said pre Indy and Pittsburgh.

Maybe they are. But they've played tight games all season. Beat Dallas. Played SF tight until the 4th quarter. Played Cincy tight until the 4th quarter.

Looks like if the Ravens stay the course and come out like they're shot out of a cannon and get up by multiple scores early, they should be good. Seems like Arizona crumbles in the 4th.

However if the Ravens flounder early, this could turn into one of those games like Pittsburgh where they're fighting to make the other team win the game.

It's the any given Sunday NFL but nobody thinks the Cardinals are as good as Indy or Pittsburgh. This would be the worst loss on the Ravens schedule.

I feel confident that they'll show up on Sunday. Let's see if they can build on what they showed last week on offense.

The "only" way they lose this game is losing the turnover battle coupled with sideline staff mismanagement of clock and situations.
