After capping off their home slate with a big victory over Northwestern this past weekend, #21 Maryland will hit the road to face off against Ohio State on Wednesday night. After starting the season off with a 10-3 (2-0) record, the wheels have completely fallen off for the Buckeyes. They've won just two of their last 16 games, and many fans are calling for head coach Chris Holtmann to be fired. Their 4-14 conference record is second-worst only to Minnesota.
When the Terps first faced them in early January, Ohio State was ranked #24 in the country. Maryland won that game by a score of 80-73, led by a 30-point, 11-rebound performance from Jahmir Young. The Buckeyes did win their last game, a 72-60 victory over Illinois over the weekend. While their offense has been solid this season, averaging 73 points per game, the biggest issues for them have come on the defensive end of the court.
