Van Deusen became the 20th Maryland public school coach to win 200 games last season. Smith became one of just four coaches in MPSSAA history to win at least seven state championships. Two other Hall of Famers, Burgos and White, are tied for the second most wins in Baltimore County history among public school coaches, with 155, trailing only Steve Turnbaugh, who won 187 games in 19 seasons at Hereford from ‘96 through ‘13. Van Deusen is entering his 23rd season. White and Schell are entering their 22nd seasons, while Burgos and Luthe are both entering their 20th seasons as head coach.
