Would love to see the recent #1 prospects and what were their rankings in prior seasons.  Henderson's rise has been steady but also feels pretty meteoric this season.

Acuna is the only guy to rocket up like this.  Pretty amazing.

Also just overall, getting a #1 ranking is a pretty damn good omen for your future.  Profar and Young the only guys I'd look at as busts.  Hamilton but for different reasons and he got it back.

If Gunnar maintains his #1 ranking into next season then the Orioles will be the first team to ever have two different players be BA's top prospect in back to back years from the same team.

I'd rather he get called up today and lose his prospect status going into next year but still remarkable. 2019 draft was pretty, pretty, pretty good.

Seriously - top 6 picks:

Adley

Gunnar

Stowers

Zach Watson

Ortiz

Hernaiz

Obviously they need to perform at the MLB level but that has the potential to be a pretty amazing draft.

The fact that Elias may have gotten two of the top five best players in that draft is really something.

Can someone post the list of top 100 prospects for those who are not BA members?

Basically no movement for the other 4 guys.  Makes sense except for Cowser, IMO, I think you gotta be looking more favorably at him than before the year with how well he's hit at Bowie even thought its only been a little more than a month.

Just curious. Where did Druw Jones and Termarr Johnson end up?

Can argue all day long about did they need to tank blah blah blah.

What you can't argue is that Elias has built a terrific minor league system and things are looking great for the O's future.

Jones was either 21 or 22 and Termarr was 46.

There are things I do not like about how Elias does business, but what is undisputable is he is stocking the team's minor league system with top talent.

ESPN/Kiley McDaniel just came out with updated farm system rankings. Orioles still the best in baseball despite Adley Rutschman graduating.

Domonic Brown was #1 on a midseason update.

Yea... I need to ask around about the lack of love for Cowser. I see Alek Thomas without the quirks that make Thomas risky. Not just a future leadoff hitter, but a monster future leadoff man. Maybe there's edginess about the strikeout rate, but I think that's misplaced.

One of the things I asked Matt Blood about heading into the season was why Henderson had such a high strikeout rate last year despite a tame swinging strike rate. I thought maybe it was passivity. Blood said it wasn't that and also that he thought Gunnar was going to really break out this year. Good calls. I bring it up because Cowser should maybe talk to Henderson about the adjustments he made entering this year. Feels a little like passivity could be holding him back in the strikeout department.

All credit to Cowser for what he is doing. I was a fan when he was drafted but I started doubting wjile he was in A+. I would think some people still have his K rate in Aberdeen in mind. Along with questionable power. I know he has 8 in Bowie already but do we think he is a consistent 20+ HR guy in MLB
