Speaking of backyard games, anyone here ever play frisbeerski? Pretty unique, fun game.
I dont think so. Do tell.
Here's the basic idea...
Setup:
Two teams of two, much like cornhole, except you play on the same side as your partner.
Two 4' tall pvc pipes are placed in the ground about the same distance as cornhole boards would be, or probably a little further, or whatever. You can stick some sort of stake in the ground to slide the pvc pipe over to secure it, but what we usually do is sharpen down the bottom ends to wedge them in the ground.
An empty beer bottle should be balanced on top of each pvc pipe.
You also need a frisbee.
Rules:
Each team takes turns throwing the frisbee, with partners alternating throws every turn as if you were playing pool.
The object of the game is to knock off the opposing team's bottle. This can be achieved by either hitting the bottle directly, or by hitting the pvc pipe causing the bottle to fall.
The defending team is responsible for catching the thrown frisbee (within reason), as well as catching the beer bottle if it's knocked off by the throwing team.
A bottle knocked off is worth 2 points, a good* frisbee throw not caught is worth 1 point. Game is played until one team reaches a score of 21.
When defending, catching the frisbee and/or bottle before they hit the ground negates points. Blocking/reaching for the frisbee in front of the pole, or grabbing the bottle from the top of the pole before the frisbee hits/passes is forbidden, and should result in the corresponding points.
*A good frisbee throw should be pretty apparent, but generally speaking, if it's below the knees or out of arm's reach, it doesn't count against the defending team if not caught.
I hope this makes sense, as I'm more than a handful of beers deep at this point.
