I don't care how pop or mainstream it was. Thriller was one of the best albums of the decade.

It's almost a technicality, because it didn't really get that popular until the 90s, but I had it in 1989, 7th grade!

This album, Appetite for Destruction, and Sex Packets were the 3 cd's me and some friends would play on a boombox in our driveways while skateboarding thinking we were the ultimate badasses.

Haha, are you me!?   I was such a poser.  It turns out I didn't like skateboarding that much, I just liked wearing Vision Street Wear and having a flip haircut.

Ha.  I think I may have been okay enough to be one or 2 steps above poser-level, but I only had like a half-dozen "tricks" in my arsenal.  My big one being a 360 kickflip.

I think around that time 80% of my wardrobe came from either CCS Skate Magazine or the skate store in Annapolis Mall.  Vans, Airwalks, DC, Ethnies, Alien Workshop, Independent, Birdhouse, SpitFire, etc.  And of course you weren't cool unless you had the small hole in your shoe(s) right by the small toe from being worn down from all the tricks you did.

I actually still have one of my old skateboards.  It makes for a great dolly when you want to move heavy stuff around but for skateboarding, not so much.

Do you pull these off the top of your head or do you have a physical copy of this somewhere that you keep and revisit from time to time?

I don't think I could name the title of more than about 25 albums outside of a few bands with whom I am familiar with most of their catalog.

I need to stop listening to shitty talk radio in the car and start exploring some old full albums off of Spotify or something.

I have a physical copies of them.  They change, but not that much.  Usually the top 5-6 are set in stone and 7-10 are somewhat malleable. 

BTW, Mack, I highly recommend any album in any of my top lists....obviously
