On the surface, this sounds gross.

But...I don't eat fast food because I want a good piece of meat. I would barely call what they use on burgers "meat" anyway. I eat fast food because it satisfies a craving and tastes good. And if they can make a meatless burger taste good in the same way that a real meat burger tastes good, then I'd be all for it for the reasons suggested in the article.

I've never come close to becoming a vegetarian or anything but I have started to consider the amount of meat I consume daily and the industry that supports, for better or worse. As someone who considers themselves an animal guy, I wrestle with it a lot.

So if BK or some other chain can make a good meatless burger I'd make the switch during the rare instance that I do eat fast food.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

I'll eat anything that tastes good, but in general I don't like gimmicky vegetarian/vegan foods that are intended to trick you into thinking it's meat.

Agreed. I’ve had Morningstar burgers before. But I can’t put it on a bun with ketchup and mustard and pretend it’s meat. It’s seasoned like taco meat so I’ve cut em up for like quesadillas and such and it’s, okay.

Had the impossible burger too. Anyone tells you it tastes like meat is lying. It’s cardboard that someone probably spilled Worcestershire sauce on.

Apparently it wasn’t a April Fools Joke.

So you’re saying it tastes exactly like a majority of fast food burger meat. Cool. :)

Had one today. Couldn't tell the difference at all.
