Not a very good showing by the ladies today. The game was closer than the score prehaps but they made too many unforced errors leading to opportunities for France.

 

And as pretty as France's second goal was if you gave her that same shot 10 times I think she makes it once maybe twice.

I just saw that every game will be broadcast in 4K. Stoked since I got my system here in Idaho built up to 4K just before we went south for the winter. First game at 3 edt today with host France and South Korea.

First match is in the books and it was a thriller....lol

 

France totally drubbed Korea 4-0 and it wasn't that close. In the first half alone France had 17 shots. Its a rare soccer game where one team gets 17 shots in an entire game. 

 

Oh, and the game in 4K  just looked killer!

Australia lost earlier, upset by Italy 2-1.

Brazil leading Jamaica 1-0 at the half.

Two other games yesterday... Spain beat South Africa 3-1, and Norway beat Nigeria 3-0.

 


Tomorrow... 

Argentina vs. Japan
Canada vs. Cameroon

US opens up on Tuesday.

Well an "upset" if you can call a draw an upset. Argentina just tied Japan 0-0.

 

In their two previous WC appearances they lost all 6 matches by a combined 33-2. So they earned they first ever WC points. Kudos to the Argentina ladies!!
