Really looking forward to this, though I think Chrome can be beat...

Look out for Ride On Curlin (runner up in the Preakness), Wicked Strong (4th in Derby), and Medal Count..

Not sure how I'm going to play it, if at all.

I'll be at the track tomorrow. Thinking Chrome Curlin box again. Maybe add a third horse.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

I don't like how CC ended the Preakness...I think he gets caught in the stretch and finishes 2nd or third.

Would be a great story, but I don't particularly like how he finished in either the Preakness or Derby.

Both times horses were charging hard late on him. Although, the Derby he may have been pulling back the hard charging horse.

I'm not going to bet the race. I'm just going to be a fan, and root for Chrome.

If I was playing, I might just throw a few $$$ on a Medal Count, Ride on Curlin Exacta box, and hope Chrome runs off the board.

I like Samraat as long shot. Would have him in a box

Sneaking suspicion Chrome doesn't show. Curling either for that matter.

For what it's worth, Chrome is wearing Secretariat's number when he won the Belmont (#2). Definitely not expecting a 31-length victory though.

Don't like how Wicked Strong is approaching the gate.

Jason La Canfora

@JasonLaCanfora

there's gotta be at least a sliver of a chance Johnny Football shows up on the back of one of these horses, right?

No Triple Crown this year...  Chrome finishes 5th...  you can really see the distance of the Belmont.

Now we can go back to not caring about horse racing for another 10 months.

I am fully convinced I will not live long enough to witness another Triple Crown winner.

Screw you, NBC. How about talking to the winner first? Then you can talk to the jockey who finished fifth.

How much longer do you plan on living? I have to think we'll see one sometime soon.

Hoping for another 40 years or so. Less hopeful on the TC. Makes it seem all the more remarkable that there were 3 of them in the 70s.
