Some people love it, some people hate it.

How do you feel about it?

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Love it...always will.

Its dirty in some places, the boardwalk blows at this point(especially with no kids) and the water could be cleaner(obviously) but I love the atmosphere down there...Good restaurants, good bars and the beach...plus, good golf courses.

It's cool to check out the boardwalk from time to time and to go to some of the bars/restaurants. And you talking about mini-golf courses Rob? Those are cool. ;)

For the most part though, I'm good with S. Bethany (where the family beach house is) and Rehoboth/Dewey.

The experts seem to think that OC has some of the best Water Quality on the East Coast.

No..but I do love me some mini golf.

Dewey is great...would rather go there if I was going with friends to straight party.

The water this past weekend was the clearest I've ever seen it. I could see from my chest to my feet. Deep green color...awesome waves...it was one of the best beach weekends I've ever had there.

In case you can't tell I love the place. Always have, always will.

Now the traffic is another story.

Even though I'm not a party guy, and I'll always have a little bit of a fear of the ocean, and laying all day in the sand isn't helpful to my Irish complexion, something about Ocean City is always...fun. It's hard to not have a good time down there, unless you get caught in the riptide or fall off a hotel balcony or something.

I like it more than I don't. Plenty of great memories down there.

There's better beaches out there, it's close-by though.

Of course there's better beaches, but OCMD is always highly ranked when it comes to cleanliness and water. I'd say it's definitely in the top half of US beach rankings.

A lot of my love is pretty much ingrained into me since I've been going there since I was a kid, the same as many other Marylanders. But I've really come to appreciate it since my parents built a house in Bishopville.

My family's house is in between South Bethany and Fenwick, so I prefer the actual beach there because we're right on the beach and there's less people/traffic/noise/etc.

But for restuarants and entertainment and everything, Ocean City is great. When we go out to eat, it's almost always south.

I'm a big mini golfer when I go down, even though the prices are just outrageous.

Ok saying it's in the top half, it's above average, that's probably the case. I'm not trying to bash it, just saying it's not at the top of my vacation list spots. It's fine for a weekend here and there.

Much much prefer Deep Creek Lake to Ocean City for a bunch of reasons listed above (cleaner, less traffic, can still swim etc).

However, if I am going to the ocean I prefer the south Delaware locales.  Quieter.

Anyone else noticed that the beaches get smaller the further north you get and the drop off into the water is much more pronounced? My favorite spot is 17th Street. North of about 60th St or so it starts to get really bad.

BTW, seacrets is definitely the best bar I have ever been too.

Seacrets isn't even the best bar in OC.

I kinda hate OC.  The memories always draw me back, but when it get there, I wonder what the hell I was thinking.

Ugh, are you a 22-year-old guido from Howard County?

If I HAVE to go out in OC I like Faeger's.  Plenty of Cougars there who pork first and ask questions later.

Fagers is small and often way too hot.  Like Fagers but always felt it is overrated...Much prefer Fishtails to Fagers....I go to Fagers and enjoy myself but its not my fav place down there.

Seacrets is great...Awesome music everywhere, never overly crowded where you can't get a drink because its so big...Outside and inside is fantastic.

I like Seacrets during the day. It's a nice way to be thankful you're not some Jersey Shore wannabe. I haven't been after dark in probably....8 years.

Fagers is definitely Cougar Central. Still not one of my favorite places though. I like more relaxed, chill spots. Preferably old school and dive-y.

However, Skye Bar on top of Galaxy 66 is awesome -- best bartenders in OC. Feels like SoBe Miami.

Fishtails is solid too.  I enjoy eating there and watching the boats pull up during the competitions.
