I wanted to get a thread going to talk about the various odds and ends going on around the NHL right now.
First up the Phoenix Coyotes

Glendale is set to vote today on another potential deal. This could be the one that ultimately sends the Coyotes elsewhere(I feel like I've read that countless times before though). The latest I hear is it would be Seattle. I mean it would almost have to be somewhere in the west, after going through with realignment you don't want another Winnipeg situation.
Next up the NHL and the Olympics

Nothing officail yet, but it sounds like the NHLers will get to play in Sochi next year. This is a good thing, so I'm glad that they are going to make this work.
The Isles are set to buy out Dipetrio's contract.

He gets 1.5 million a year for the next 16 years even if he never plays another NHL game again! Those mega long term deals don't always work out.
On a related note the Canucks traded Corey Scneider to New Jersey over the weekend partially because they know it's almost impossible to move Luongo and his dea.
