After a disappointing loss to Northwestern on Wednesday night, the Terps will head back home to face Penn State in their final regular season game of the year. The Nittany Lions currently hold a record of 9-13 (6-12) and have won 2 of their last 3 games, including a blowout win over Minnesota on Wednesday night. They beat Maryland by a score of 55-50 when they met in State College a month ago.

KenPom currently ranks Penn State as the #36 team in the country, while Maryland comes in at #28.

Joe Lunardi is currently projecting Maryland as a #9 seed in the NCAA Tournament, while Penn State isn't expected to make the field.

Lose this game and go right back on the bubble.  Do not phone this one in.  With apo0logies to Wiggins and Morsell, the team did not come to play against NW.

Wiggins had the worst game of his career (at least for scoring) vs PSU last time so if we get the current Wiggins instead of that game's Wiggins, I feel reasonably good about it

Also, the Northwestern game was the first game I watched really closely this year. I didn't get the sense it was so much about "not coming to play" as almost a bit of hesitation/tightness. Often felt like I saw guys getting a step on their defender but then not going to the rack.

I think they clearly took them lightly and weren't prepared. Turgeon barely coached, not that that's anything new, but it's inexcusable. No adjustments, just thought they could flat out rely on being the better, more talented team, and Northwestern took advantage of it.
