There are some interesting changes, and although he will not be calling plays or be a coordinator, Burden may be as important as any.  Landing more of the highly regarded Va. players is important if Maryland is going to become competitive with the upper part of the B10.

IMS: Contract details for new coordinator Brian Stewart, newly hired assistants

• Ron Zook: 2 years, $1,000,000
• Zohn Burden: 2 years, $625,000

All three have performance-based incentives built into their contracts, including "10 percent of [their] annual base salary for participating in a Big Ten championship game, five percent for reaching a bowl game and larger incentives for bigger accomplishments, such as reaching the College Football Playoff."
