If the team knew this about him ahead of time, then that's certainly information we didn't have on hand at the time of the trade.  I'm skeptical that they had this knowledge, frankly I'm skeptical that a velocity uptick has even happened as this was a training video promoting the trainers, but if he's seen a 3 MPH or more increase in velocity that certainly changes his quality as a prospect as that's a big deal.  I thought and have said all along that Stallings was a tier below what I thought was a reasonable return for Iglesias.  If Stallings truly has this sort of an uptick in velocity, that would likely be enough to bump him up a tier.

The uptick in velo has been a steady rise over the last few months. Not just to hype Ben's facility. 

I normally write things like this to spring training fluff, but we saw Means tick up 3-5 MPH last year, so maybe Stallings is this years player that benefits greatly from using the new information and techniques.
