Baltimore comes in at #23

I've never liked big cities. I hate being around a bunch of busy stuff. I get that there's a lot of benefits but it's never done it for me.
That said, New York is a tremendous city, even with all of its major flaws. Same with Chicago, Atlanta, and Houston.

Chicago seemed like the cleanest major city I've been to.
New Orleans is my favorite. I'm already 300 pounds. I'd weigh 500 pounds if I lived there.
LA is the one I've never been to that I want to the most.

That list isn't specific to travel, but in terms of travel, New York, New Orleans, and San Diego are my favorite major cities to visit. Love Asheville for a smaller city.
I want to visit both Portland's (went to the one in Oregon when I was 18, but not since).
As for places to live, I'm happy with Baltimore, but would certainly love to be in San Diego, or otherwise, any cool, walkable city that has great nature nearby.

All things equal, I'd probably live in either Charlotte or Raleigh over any other city. Gives you a little bit of every aspect. Financial, ag, city, country, college...whatever you want, you can have miles and miles of it. Charlotte is especially clean, diverse, and vibrant.
For visiting, New Orleans by a mile and a half. Literally the perfect place to spend a week. Vegas is the only place that's anywhere close.

If San Diego was on the East Coast, I'd be there in a heartbeat. Just can't deal with Pacific Standard Time. Perfect weather, on the water, things to do, you name it.
I also really liked Scottsdale when I went for Spring Training this year. New Orleans is fantastic as well of course.

What's your issue with Pacific Standard Time?
It was great for sports purposes.
When I was in LA/Vegas, that was so great. Going to the bar at 10am to watch football. A full breakfast bar AND alcohol.
Also, having all sports over by 9:45pm, and being able to go out and enjoy the night without sports is a major plus.

Agreed. It's fantastic!
See, I'm the opposite. That's the sole reason I dislike PST. As a fan of East Coast teams, I hated having games end by 7. It was a "shock to the system" when there wasn't any sports on after 10pm. It would certainly be much easier if I was a fan of PST fan, but I just could not get used to it in my week-long trips out west.
Different discussion altogether, but I personally think Central time zone is the best for sports.

I think 11pm EST is a good time for sports to end. Gives everybody an hour to get home (if at the game) and 8 hours of sleep.

For cities I'd want to live in, I'd only put Seattle and Portland ahead of Minneapolis. Maybe San Diego.
San Francisco is a dump though; I do not understand the hype.

Seriously! NFL Sundays are great. Get up, have breakfast in time for 10am kickoffs. Late games are over by 4:30...in the early part of the season you still have several hours of daylight to go out and do stuff, and while you do that you can DVR the SNF game and watch it commercial-free at night and be in bed at a decent hour.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

You...you DVR football games?

If it's one I'm not making appointment viewing for, sure. I can't do marathon weekends in front of the TV anymore, unless the weather is really awful or I'm really hung over.

Top 5 off the top of my head cities I've been to in America I gotta go:
1. New Orleans
2. NYC
3. Chicago
4. LA
5. San Francisco
Never been to SD. I was hesitant to put SF in there since it's gone downhill a lot lately, and DC, Boston and Miami would be worthy of being added to the list.
But as far as visiting cities, i can find something anywhere to make the visit enjoyable. There's never been a place i've been to where I was miserable. LV is as close to a place that I didn't enjoy but that was for a variety of other reasons.
