Didn't quite know where to put this one so I thought a new thread was best, if it should be moved that's fine.

 

Interesting read on what Baltimore City's boundaries could have been.  If you click on the image in the article it includes the original article from the 70's written by the Maryland Historical Magazine.

Baltimore Magazine has written about this, too - it also references that 1970's article.  I think the headline of this article is a little misleading, though.  It makes it sound like it was something Baltimore chose to do instead of something that was done to Baltimore.

Some would refute this, but I think it's pretty clear that this and racism, which that article amazingly glossed over, are the two primary causes of the problems and perception of present day Baltimore. Unless I'm forgetting or overlooking something else at the moment.
