An interesting article and there are some arms on the way, but realistically, I think the only ones who should be considered option for 2020 are Akin and later in the year Kremer.

I think we see Akin in May and if he is pitching well Kremer around July.

The team needs to sign a few veterans to bridge the gap until more become options in 21.

Ivan Nova got 1.5, they should have considered him.   

I agree with the signing of veterans. I would actually really enjoy it if they brought in guys like Jhoulys Chacin and/or Robbie Erlin to give it a go and serve as a bridge. But I have a feeling we're going to see way more of Luis Ortiz, Eshelman, and Shepherd than we want to again.

I know his ceiling is pretty low, but i think Bruce Zimmermann logs a lot of innings out of the pen this year.

I agree with all of this.    Especially the part I bolded, and it is why I hate the tanking aspect of any"rebuild", and also why I have zero excitement for the upcoming season.
