Wow.

That’s pretty crazy.

I get it though. At some point, it has to be worth it to you.

Tony should be selfish here. He needs to do what’s best for him and his family. Whatever he does, he should be proud of what he built and the size of the community.

There’s a certain poster I’d like left off the ark if it heads this way...

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

It's been a long time since I've thought about the foxhole.

I go there when something big happens just to get Frobby’s take. Truly value his opinion

I trust Luke Siler’s opinion on Orioles prospects more than anyone else’s and I’m sure they have some great posters like Frobby. Wish them the best but if they go under, hope we pick up some valuable members.

I would be surprised if Tony let it go.

I don’t know what he has to deal with on a day to day basis and I know he has talked about stepping back over the years and doing less.

Still, I think he will allow sentiment to take over. It’s tough walking away from that even if it is what’s best for you.

This has been his baby for a long time and while people wouldn’t like how he would do things, I don’t think people understood just how much he put into that site for the longest time. You see Chris doing many of the same things. And you would too if it were your site.

Remember, it’s your reputation as much as it is your business, so wanting things done your way is important. May not agree with your way but that doesn’t mean you still shouldn’t do things as you seem fit.

I haven’t posted on the site in years. I don’t believe I was ever banned, but I could be wrong about that. LOL

Like yourself, I check the site periodically when anything of note happens. Just so happened I was on there last night and thought I’d share this news.

Definitely a bittersweet feeling. At least for me.

He sounded kind of jaded about the scouting stuff but he always had a chip on his shoulder. Makes him who he is I guess. I wish him the best, had a lot of fun over the years there.
I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Slight tinge of attention seeking behavior there.  Honestly, how much work is there involved in letting Shane keep up the tech?  The mods volunteer.  I must be missing something.

The guy has retirement pay at the warrant officer level. I'm going out as an E-7 and I'll be just fine on that alone.

I don't like the guy at all but I hope he does whats best for him and he's happy with it.

I don’t think anyone is in any position to judge him (or anyone else) on finances, how he spends his time, his effort into the site, etc...

It seems like the message forum is the driving force there. I don't know much about hosting one and moderating it but it does seem like something he could hand off pretty easily. And I'm on a few message forums and don't pay for them, so...

I started writing a post that got really snippy. It's not worth it. But in general, yeah, got the same vibe.

That’s fine but questioning how much money he should be happy with or making comments about his effort when you don’t know what he does is just flat out wrong.

That had nothing to do with respect. It’s just a wrong thing to do because you have no idea what you are talking about in terms of how it pertains to him.

Hmmm, I wonder if this could apply to a different discussion on this board.
