Jeter isn't going in all by himself???

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Bobby Abreu was so underrated to me. Won't make it, but really good career.

I'm guessing no one wants to go up to celebrate Jeets with me? :)

I just hope all the Jeter fans don't ruin Roberts's induction for me.

I'll try not to run on stage and kiss him, Morganna style.

That is an awful ballot. And that tool will probably go in by himself. Overrated prick gonna be slobbered over all season.

I have to look at this deeper, but top of my head...

I'd definitely include:
Bonds
Clemens
Jeter
Ramirez
Sheffield
Walker
Schilling

I'd consider:
Helton

Rolen
Wagner
Vizquel
Jones

And yeah, he at-least deserves a larger look.

Really does. Check his numbers out, it'll surprise you.

Turn like 700 of Abreu's walks into 530 hits and he gets to 3,000 hits and an apparent automatic HOF birth!

Maybe it's time for Bonds and Clemens to go in.  That way, we don't have to hear all about Derek all summer.

It’s time anyway, but that would be great to have the discussion be about these greats, oh and Jeter too.

Here's Bill James on why Marvin Miller got to the point where he would ask not to be voted into the Hall of Fame.

He personalized the battle.   Marvin did battle for many years with Bowie Kuhn, and Miller won EVERY skirmish, without exception, and won the war.  It was really remarkable how LITTLE Kuhn understood about labor relations or labor law, and this lack of understanding made it inevitable that (a) that there would be serious conflicts between players and owners, and (b) that the establishment would lose the battles.  I'm understating it a little, not quite getting there.   Marvin got blamed by the public for "causing" strikes, but in Marvin's mind it was Kuhn who had caused the labor strife by trying to do things that were not in good faith and not consistent with labor law.

There was a point when Marvin Miller would have been honored to be selected for the Hall of Fame, and there was a point when he felt that the moment had passed, but he could have been persuaded to accept the honor.   But when Kuhn was named to the Hall of Fame in 2008, Marvin was like "You have GOT to be #@&*CSBS(*&F KIDDING me."   It was pretty much the way that Bob Gibson would have reacted if the Hall of Fame had selected Ray Sadecki and not selected him.  Ray Sadecki is maybe too good there; maybe more like Al Jackson, or Barney Schultz.  Jay Hook.   He was personally offended.  It was not difficult to understand why.

Every baseball fan or person in the sport should be personally offended that Bowie Kuhn is in the Hall of Fame.

If you aren't following the Hall of Fame Ballot Tracker, there's some interesting things going on.

https://onedrive.liv...ALD8BEbKmTajwcI

They estimate that ~20% of the ballots have been revealed publicly so far. Larry Walker looks like he's going to very close to election. He's gained 14 votes so far. But Todd Helton, Andruw Jones, and Jeff Kent have each gained 15 votes, Billy Wagner 16, and Scott Rolen and Gary Sheffield 23 each. Now, none of that group is going to get the votes to be elected this year. But big jumps are often signs that players are gaining momentum and might be able to make runs at 75% as their cases get new attention. Plus, its obvious that a lot of "number 11", 12, 13, etc., players are getting votes now that the logjam of the previous decade or so has mostly cleared out.

I feel like i look at this 30 times per day...my little "projects" right now are Helton & Abreu..Hopefully Abreu can stay above the 5% mark and stay on the ballot.

It irritates me when people vote for anyone and not Bonds or Clemens to be honest.
