Wow! Didn’t know this. Congrats Turk! Honestly thought it was going to be Donta, as he had already Coached there. If it wasn’t going to be him, happy that it’s another good old friend. Although, was really hoping he got another chance at the collegiate level. Glad the program is now ran by a Down da Hill legend. Eastside High needs that.

Good for Keith....sounds like something that was meant to be.

By journey, what do you mean? Maybe it’s a play on words, just when I hear journey, I am thinking that the person had a rough time. Which would be far from the truth with Turk. He was always somewhat shielded, even in the neighborhood. Everybody had love for him, and wanted him to succeed. And I mean as early as like 7th grade.

Journey as being an All Time Baltimore and Maryland Great. I wonder if the current kids at Dunbar know the history about him.

Gotcha. I would hope so, but probably not. They will though.

I think most probably know the name.  Keith is a legend in the basketball community.  It does make me feel old to think the kids playing today, might not know Keith.

Booth has ties to Team Thill AAU squads . That should help him with recruiting

Keith Booth update: Booth was at odds with a group of influential Dunbar alumni over changes Booth wanted to see at both Dunbar and the City schools. The dispute intensified and it cost Booth his job. In the words of another school staffer, "That's Dunbar".

I like Keith Booth but Dunbar right now was not a fit for him and he has no AAU connections. Did you actually see Dunbar this year? It was disheartening disgusting heartbreaking and more. They shoot 20% from the field and 20% from the free throw line. They dont rebound they dont box out. Watching them was like watching an uncoached team

Turk coaches with Team Thrill now. He had AAU connections. Don’t know what happened, but knowing him well, I have a hard time believing he would do anything that would jeopardize his job. Only thing I heard, is it was something that happened between two players under his supervision.

He kind of got the job late. He, along with Donta, would have brought kids back to Dunbar. That being said, the privates are still getting the top players. Outside of Poly. The city schools are getting a bunch of kids who are transferring out of privates. As bad as CHC is right now, their ninth grade class is loaded. Look at almost every private, they have stacked ninth and tenth grade classes.

This was an administrative matter that is still under investigation...Don't believe it had anything to do with his coaching or recruiting abilities.  Just pure unfortunate for such a benchmark program.
