Terps played decently overall, but just don't have enough firepower to be a really good team this year. I really think today their defense wasn't up to the level it had been, way too many easy and open looks for the Owls. A nice run to get back into the game, but then Temple made a few tough threes to really pull away.

Stoglin and Padgett both had very nice games. P'Shon has a decent line, too, although he took some really bad threes in the first half and missed some wide open ones as well.

Faust and Mosley were both terrible. Faust should not be getting the playing time he is. Parker is much better than him at this point. Faust finds ways to make mistakes in nearly every conceivable way. I thought he was looking better, but his last two games have been abject failures. Mosley is just a disappointment in terms of his entire career here. I had super high hopes for him after his freshman year, and he advanced as a sophomore, but regressed last year and hasn't gotten any better this year. He'll throw in a decent game every now and then, but he's just not the player we needed him to be. I'll still hope for a strong finish to his season, but I'm not expecting much. He'd be the 8th or 9th guy in a real competitive team's rotation.

Stoglin is for real. The guy is a great player. The team has heart. The team is short on talent. Len got hurt today, but he isn't as ready for top competition as I thought he might be. Faust has a lot of talent, but also has a very immature game. He needs to seal a lot of holes. Padgett tries really hard, but the talent level isn't quite good enough. Pankey has more talent, but seems to really struggle with focus issues.

I enjoy watching the team and I definitely think Turgeon can coach, but I don't think this team has tourney talent this year. Next year should be fun though.

I agree completely, VaTech (also, great to be discussing sports with you again). The team definitely plays hard, and I think on defense, they actually play quite well most of the time, although not so much today. Turgeon has gotten a lot out of this team, plus Stoglin has been better than even the most optimistic fans could've hoped for. He's simply phenomenal, and I didn't expect his jump shot to be as good as it's been. He can make threes with no space and no time to get a shot off, just incredible.

There just isn't enough talent behind him. Len is still very raw, Padgett and Pankey don't have the offensive game to be consistent inside threats, Mosley is perpetually leaving fans wanting more, and Howard still hasn't quite settled into the offense, although I think he'll be a decent player and his shooting should improve. Faust hasn't adjusted well at all to the college game, but he does have the skills to be a very solid slashing guard, sort of like a less athletic LaRon Profit or DJ Strawberry.
