After a 5-0 start to their season for the first time since 2001, and a 2-0 start to conference play for the first time since 2012, Maryland heads back on the road to face off against their first Top 5 opponent of the year in Ohio State. The Buckeyes are coming off of a bye week following a last-second victory over Notre Dame on September 23rd.
Ohio State opens the week as 18-point favorites, and ESPN gives them a 90.6% chance to win this game.

Please do not get blown out.
I guess you can echo that for when they also play Michigan and PSU.
This should be a close game.

Keep it to less than 2 TD's and I will consider that progress.

My son has a soccer game, MD playing Ohio St, and the Orioles likely playing around 1PM, all at the same time on Saturday. Going to be a tough one to follow!

Seems like every "big game" Maryland has had in the past decade or so has resulted in a blowout. Every time you think maybe this is the year, they get absolutely curb-stomped.
Obviously a win would be amazing but if they could just make OSU sweat that would be a good showing to me.

They kept last year's game within one score until Ohio State's scoop and score with 9 seconds left. Dallan Hayden ran all over them in that game, but they didn't allow CJ Stroud to make many big plays with his arm. The key to this game may be different, in that you may want to force Kyle McCord to prove he can beat you throwing the ball. Marvin Harrison, Jr.'s ankle likely won't be 100%, so hold TreyVeon Henderson to short gains and force them into some more passing situations.
Maryland has the best turnover margin in the country and is Top 30 in fewest penalties per game. If they continue playing mistake-free football, I think they have a very good shot to keep this one close into the fourth quarter.

You need the offense to show up and put up points. Convert in the RZ.
Defensively, I'd be excited about a few key 3rd down stops, and holding to 3 in the RZ.
I'd be ecstatic with a couple of turnovers.

That’s a big deal. They have a couple other good backs, but I wonder if this changes Brian Williams’ game plan at all.
