Watch out, you might be accused of being bitter. Real fans should be happy that the Orioles were sellers at the deadline even though they were in the wildcard race. And real fans should be happy that little has been done to build on the 83 win season.
I will proudly wear the "bitter" label. It's the truth. I will honestly never understand the mindset of those who feel like fans should just be happy to be here, so to speak. Even at its most basic economic level, this is a product the team is asking fans to buy. If they're not trying very hard to make the product good, why should a fan, particularly in this economic environment, allocate shrinking disposable income dollars to them?
