The Jays are still playing for wildcard seeding. They're currently the #1 wildcard, but they could finish as low as #3.

4 up on TB with 3 to play, so they can't finish 3rd. Seattle could catch them and holds the tie-breaker. They'll play each other either way, but top seed gets home field advantage.

Remember when these three games were supposed to mean something? That was a fun two weeks.
8 back, so would've needed to be 5 games closer.
Orioles obviously didn't play well either in head-to-heads against Toronto or against everybody else in September, but Blue Jays also did play well in their other games (12-8 in their non-O's games since the first Sept series), so it really got away and quickly. Went backwards at nearly every step, so much so that TB and Seattle became the last targets to fade out of range.

I prefer to remember that we were supposed to win 60 games if we were lucky.
The cream rose to the top and the Orioles were not able to keep up, but this year was a very pleasant surprise and an absolute win for the Orioles.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

So much garbo at the start of the year. The roster really got a lot better down the stretch.

Incredible snag by Gunnar into foul territory down the 3b-line....couldn't get enough on the throw with Teoscar running, but great hand-eye on a ball that actually came up too, not just lateral range but adjusting to the hop.

Gotta hand it to those hardy souls who braved the weather tonight. Weather forecast isn't any better for Tuesday, so I'm guessing the game is going to be a washout. If Seattle--which holds a tiebreak over the Blue Jays--loses tonight to the Tigers, that seals the top wildcard for Toronto and the game wouldn't be made up.

Henderson has really bottomed out over the past couple of weeks.
It happens with young players. The kid is the real deal. He will adjust.

I spent about 7 hours sitting in the rain, watching 2 games in the last 48 hours. What a waste of time and dry clths.
Last nights game had about 3 thousand fans if that many.
I got invited to a bull pen party that turned out to be held on the 6th floor of the warehouse. Not as nice as I expected, but I got free beef and ham, so there is that.
