Double for Santander, triple for Mountcastle. 1-0 .
Both of those hits were smoked. Then Gunnar got robbed.

Verdurgo went sprinting into the dugout after making the third out, like he needed to get to the porcelain throne.
That is the most hustle out of a Red Sox player in weeks,

The amount of outs at the plate on groundballs to the left side late this season has been infuriating. Why are they constantly running in that situation?

They seem to believe in the run on contact play. It seems like it is hurting us.

Because usually its either run on contact or see the ball through. Its not a read as much as it is reaction.

Left center. I think it landed in Rhode Island.

Third base.Where was the ball hit??
I've always thought that you run if it's to SS or 2B. Hold if it's to Pitcher, 1B or 3B. Some wiggle room depending on how hard it's hit, exact positioning, and how fast the runner is.

It seems like every time we have a runner on third, it is run on contact. We get too many guys throw that at the plate.
