Was hit by a pitch on his hand in his third at bat last night, just a bruise. Should be back in the lineup tomorrow or Friday.

Most likely still rehabbing from his sports hernia surgery. Probably just slow playing him to play it safe.

Reading all this and I’m thinking, that’s a decent enough amount of walks for a month. Then you get to Gunnar, and bam. What a stud.

Is Handley any sort of prospect? I didn't really think so, he doesn't even seem to have his own thread here! But he has hit far better than anyone probably expected this year, 122 wRC+ and on this list 2 straight months, and I always thought he was supposed to be a good defender. A good backup would be useful if you can trust him to get Adley more restful DH/1B time, or maybe if someone thinks he's a starter you can get some sort of value for him.

Borderline top 50 prospect. Great defense, if the offense is sustainable then we have something. And that something is Adley’s backup.

It is nice to see the numbers rise for the key prospects.  I looked at this list trying to decide who the next one to the majors is.  Stowers isd possible, but with the infield we have playing in the majors, it probably should be Vavra.

He is splitting time between C/1B/DH so basically yes.

I think that if Adley is going to spend 30-40 games a year as a DH, a third catcher may become a regular thing on the 26 man.  If there is a guy who plays !B and can catch some too, that might be the perfect world.  I know Sam is 2 to 3 years away, but developing a guy to wear a few hats that include catching is a good thing.

How long do they keep Kjerstad at Delmarva?

Not much longer. They want to set him up to start next year in AA.

I'd like to see him get some ABs in AA this year! He's clearly too advanced for Delmarva. Be interesting to see how he handles Aberdeen.

Yeah AA next year is fine. If he succeeds he could be in Baltimore by the end of next year.
