I think they struggle to get a bowl

Buff, Char, NW, Rutgers. Can’t lose one of those winnable games. Then need two of SMU, Purdue, Indiana.

7 wins and competitive in each of those last three 3 weeks would be a giant step.

Wow totally missed that we are playing SMU. Very random lol

They'll beat Buffalo and Charlotte pretty handedly. SMU will be their "wow, maybe they are different this year" win. Then Michigan will annihilate them, they'll lose competitive, but close games to Purdue and Indiana, then get smoked the rest of the way aside from a close win against Rutgers.

4-8

SMU is good. Lot of talent. Will have a new coach though.

Waaaaay too early to make any sort of realistic predictions here. But I’m planning on making the trip down to Charlotte for the Week 2 game, should make for a fun one.

Why are they playing at Charlotte? Charlotte is the kind of team you don’t need to give a return game.

Sounds like it’ll be Miami OC Rhett Lashlee.

They played at FIU in 2016, I guess they just like random road trips here and there lol

Also it's funny it seems like they can't decide if Rutgers should be Thanksgiving weekend or not, they've played them that final week like half of the seasons but not all of them

The plan was to rotate between Rutgers, MSU and PSU, since none of those 4 have a natural rival to end the season with.

Due to alterations made in 2020 to have a "season," the Big Ten reworked its original schedule for 2022. Only a couple changes for the Terps.

Sept. 3: Buffalo

Sept. 10: @ Charlotte

Sept. 17: SMU

Sept. 24: @ Michigan

Oct. 1: Michigan State

Oct. 8: Purdue

Oct. 15: @ Indiana

Oct. 22: Northwestern

Nov. 5: @ Wisconsin

Nov. 12: @ Penn State

Nov. 19: Ohio State

Nov. 26: Rutgers

Maryland's 2022 schedule has been projected as the second-most difficult in the country by 247Sports, behind only Mississippi State.

Ugh, further proof, that Maryland football is over their head in the B10.

That would be disappointing, and frankly a failure. Should be 7-8.

I will be happy if Maryland can at least look like it belongs on the field with teams like Ohio State, Michigan, etc.  No more 60 to 17 type beatdowns.

For the foreseeable future, the upside of Maryland football seems to be about what they did in 2021; 4th-5th in the Big Ten East, 6-6 overall and win a crappy bowl to claim a winning record and momentum going into the next year, where Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, and now Michigan State again wait to slap them around. Hard to get excited about that. Very hard.

It’s just a tough schedule. No more FCS cupcakes. I see five losses minimum. So if they win the rest, that’s 7.

But I think they go 2-1 OOC, plus 2 or 3 conference wins.
