20 years ago....for people my age, pretty crazy.

Phil Regan's underachieving Orioles, 2,131, Modell announces the Browns move to Baltimore...a lot of stuff happened this year in Baltimore sports history.

I got my driver's license amongst other things....

Today is the day I saw Billy Madison, 20 years ago.

I figured I'd post stuff here throughout the year to celebrate 20 year anniversaries, etc...recollect on those good old days.

I wish I would have started this last year for 1994 -- but maybe this can be something we continue.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

All of the crazy stuff at the end of the baseball strike: replacement players, Peter Angelos getting notice for his almost pro-union stances as an owner, future SC Justice Sotomayor ordering the end, the shortened season.

1995 was a good year. I turned 5 and that's about all I can tell you.

UNC made the Final Four as a #2 seed in the Southeast Regional, beating #1 Kentucky in Birmingham. One of my favorite Heels teams in recent memory. Stackhouse and Wallace were Sophomores (they left after the Final Four), and no one thought they had a prayer against Kentucky.

The OJ trial, can't forget that. .

Watched this with a friend in his room almost 20 years ago to the day...amazing fight with a tragic end...probably the fight that really got me into boxing for the next 10 years:

That Duke team was terrible. The year Coach K had his back issues.

Definitely never forget that.

I was 10. I remember the OJ trial the most. And that's right at the age when I started really falling in love with baseball.

I didn't see Billy Madison till much later. I grew up a pastor's kid and wasn't allowed to watch that stuff. Ugh. Fortunately my parents saw the light right around 2000 or so.

Yea, he'll never live that down.

There was a classic Duke/UNC game that February too, but actually that looks worse on Carolina as Duke was terrible.

My friends recorded the ACC tournament loss in OT to UNC that year and I was leaving as they started watching it. Not thinking, I said, "All I gotta say is who does UNC play tomorrow because I'm rooting for them."

They were so pissed.

We lost to Wake Forest in the ACC Final that year..

That was the Randolph Childress tourney...99 points in three games.

Oh, also the 1st and 2nd round of the NCAA tourney was in Baltimore.

The 2 days the world discovered Antonio McDyess, if anyone remembers.

1995 was the end of 4th and beginning of 5th grade for me.

Who Shot Mr. Burns? was a big Simpson's thing. At the time I had no idea it was giving a head nod to Dallas.

I bought my first album, Oasis- Whats the Story Morning Glory?
