Nate, please expand on what you meant about Diaz and CF. 

My understanding is he's only playing RF.  I expect him to be the O's RF next June. 

Yeah his bat might 'play' a bit better in CF, but never heard anything to indicate he has that ability.  

(Plus, seems clear imo that Hays is taking over CF shortly.)

 


Diaz had a tough adjustment after the trade last year, and started slow this year.... but I think he's going to be a very steady / productive ML, and I think his arm makes sense to be utilized in RF.

Diaz started 6 games in CF at Bowie last year and has started 5 this year.  He did play CF a bit more frequently with LA, but very sporadically here.  Agree with Chris that there is no serious consideration of him being a CF long term. 

 

Although I'd have said the same, much more strongly, about Anthony Santander.
