I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Great work, Sean. Did it make you feel a little better getting something like this out there as a tribute? I know it hit you hard.

Somewhat. It was nice envisioning how he'd react to things here. In that regard it showed me how much I felt like I knew him.

Still sucks though.

Thanks for the kind words.

I'd disagree strongly about Woodberry.... but w/e....  it's a touching tribute.

I've never been crazy about Woodberry Kitchen myself.

But it is one of the signature restaurants in the city.

Sean do you ever scratch that creative itch you have in a more longer-term way?  Like an original side project you keep coming back to, working on and re-writing over time?

I remember your Jack Bauer / Most Dangerous Game mashup a while back, which was an interesting idea.  Seems like writing is an interest or hobby of yours that would be worth throwing some sustained energy at if you can find the time and motivation.  You seem like an "revisionist history" kind of author, to me.  Neal Stephenson or Quentin Tarantino type stuff.

Man, that 24 idea was a while ago. Glad I made a lasting impression.

I've written a ton of stuff...short fiction, novellas and such. Have 3 that have formed a nice trilogy...thinking about going the self-publishing route.

Here's David Simon on Bourdain.  Sounds like Simon had a spy show in development, where Bourdain would have been one of the writers and spent lots of time in Baltimore, but the show was never greenlit.

Wow...thanks for that. That was the best remembrance of him I’ve read. Leave it to David Fing Simon.
