Some started talking about it in the restaurant thread, but with all the varieties and types we could probably go on and on about them. Like pizza, burgers. crab cakes, etc...

Where are your favorites?

Breaded or naked?

Wet or dry?

Ranch or blue cheese?

The only place near me (Parkville) for carry out/delivery that I really like their wings is Giovannas. They are big, meaty, breaded, and their house sauce is a sweet and spicy blend. Not crazy about sweet, but it's a good sauce. Usually will get the hot though.

I went to Anchor Bar in Buffalo where they originated. They were ok, but the sauce was great. Brought some bottles home. Pepper Palace stores have a Buffalo Garlic Parmesan sauce that is about perfect.

Honestly, Hooters used to be my favorite with 3 mile island sauce. But the last few times I've been there the wings got noticeably smaller, prices have gone up, and the sauce changed at some point because it isn't the same as I remember.

I can do dry wings with Old Bay but they need to be tossed in old bay and melted butter. Or else you're just over salting plain old chicken.

Overall I like breaded, wet, spicy to the point where a little dip of blue cheese cools the spice down to tolerable. I don't get doing honey mustard wings or something super sweet with no spice. But Nuclear sauces or like a 10 on a 1-10 scale are no fun. 1-10, I'll like about a 7, 8.

Keep the celery. I don't know what that BS on the plate is all about.

I don't typically get wings out. Too messy and not enough of a meal/too much for an appetizer. That said Stadium Bar & Grill in Hagerstown has the best wings I've had out.

My friend has a Fire Disc and makes honey, old bay wings in them that are the best wings I've ever had.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Best wings I’ve had are Jose wings in Newport News. Half bbq sauce half buffalo red hot.

Heading up to Buffalo for a wedding at the end of June. Looking forward to it.

I used to like Padonia Station's wings a lot (plus $10 AYCE on Mondays). Kisling's is pretty good in Canton.

I am all over the place with flavors but LP, Hot, BBQ, Old Bay and Honey old Bay are my favorites.

Have to be crispy (although I don't mind them straight off the grill either) and Blu Cheese is the way to go.

Dont usually like them dry unless they are like Ledos and you have a dipping sauce or something like that.

I really could eat wings everyday.  Don't really have a favorite place but Ropewalk in OC has damn good wings.  They smoke them and then fry them.

Pedro would probably know better but I've heard from numerous sources that Duff's is way better than Anchor Bar in that area.

Their wings suck, but the mango habanero and spicy garlic sauces at BDubs are awesome.

Yes they do.  They have good food in general.

They are trying to sell the business.  Hopefully things stay the same if they do sell it.

It is amazing how bad their wings are.  They are one of the few places I have ever been in that screws up wings and that is supposed to be their thing!

They got one right down the street from me (at Reisterstown Rd and Franklin Ave) that I've never tried. Might give it a shot now that someone has actually said that they like it.

Is it still AYCE $10? It was that price like...yeesh...2005.

Ranch or blue cheese?

Favorites are, to this point, Oriole Pizza for flavored wings (followed closely by a couple of places that I frequent in upstate NY, mainly Country Sweet), and Hip Hop for normal, fried wings.

Always breaded, wet when flavored.

No ranch/blue cheese. I always considered that for spicy things, and I don't eat the spicy wings, so it doesn't apply to me.

I like Sliders for wings, especially on Wednesday's (50 cent wings). Dogwatch is good in Fells.

Straight buffalo sauce is good (preferably hot), old bay, mango habanaro, honey bbq, etc.

Definitely blue cheese over ranch.

How do you guys make them at home?  I expect Mackus has this perfected.

Oven wings are great when seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic & herb seasoning.  Coated with olive oil first.

I've also done wings in the smoker which are ridiculously good, same seasoning.

I can't quite get the old bay wings right in either though.  As above, I sauce with bbq/frank's buffalo in equal parts.
