Playa Del Carmen in a month!

I serious need to get the F out of Dodge for a week.

A bunch of little shit (some of not it not so little) has been bugging me lately and I'm close to pulling a Pedro. Need a week to decompress.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

Just got back from a guys weekend golf trip in Ft Lauderdale.  Third straight year.

This trip is the highlight of my year and makes the winter go really fast.

3 nights of 82 degree weather, great golf and awesome restaurants/nightlife.

4 rounds of golf.

I perfected a format that works really well and creates a lot of drama.  Can't wait until next year!

By the way, this trip is pretty cheap.  We rented a 4 bedroom house on AirBnB for $160 per man total.  Air was $295 and the golf was $400.

Going to Chicago in mid-April. Never been since I've been an adult. Any recommendations hit me up.

WRIGLEYVILLE -- Murphy's for pregame

Steak -- Chicago Cut

Weiner's Circle for authenic dogs (the employees get nasty to you after midnight but you can throw it back at them -- it's fun if you're not thin skinned)

Live music -- Blue Chicago or Buddy Guy's Legends

Deep Dish I prefer Gino's East

The original Billy Goat is a neat place.

Also, last time I was there I went to a place (Old Chicago Pizza Co. or something) that, instead of deep dish, did essentially a pizza pot pie that was really good.

EDIT: It was this place: http://chicagopizzaandovengrinder.com

Also, ate Italian beef at a local chain called Al's, which was good.

I g7ess I’ll have deep dish pizza when I’m there but as a pizza purist, it just feels wrong.

It should have a different name....  something that doesn't include "pizza"...

There's gotta be some Italian word for it...

Why would there be an Italian word for something that's not Italian?

Italians would have to call it something.  They're not gonna use the same multiple-word name we use...

Lasagna :D

It's pizza. Really, it's closer to a literal "pizza pie" than what normally gets referred to as a pie.

You're high.

Look, thin crust NY pizza is the best, for sure, but deep dish is really really good too.

Kelly and just got back from a family vacation in Mexico at an all exclusive resort called Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Esmeralda.

We had a really good time. The resort's food and service were excellent, but the beach wasn't the best mostly due to seaweed. The nearby public beach was much better for going in the water.

Besides spending time with family, the highlight was going to Chichen Itza,Coba Ruins, and a cenote.
