Topic on 98 Rock this morning...  examples such as holding the door, and not getting a thank-you. People not placing a divider after their food at a grocery...

What drives you nuts?

Inconsiderate drivers. People who don't let you over when it's a bottleneck into one lane, or people who drive up to the very last moment they can get over. Like they're more important than EVERYONE ELSE ON THE ROAD.

I also can't stand these twenty-somethings driving monster trucks like they're sports cars.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

This one infuriates me.  Sometimes leading me to do the first thing you mentioned, do everything I can to not let them in.  It's been especially frequent since they started work on 895 and it goes from two lanes to one around the exit for 97.  Some people get over right after the toll, that's what you should do, get over as soon as possible.  I can't stand the people who are speeding past the traffic in the left lane from the 97 exit lane on the right with their left turn signal on.

Here are several....

- When people can't put their phone down in inappropriate situations.  (Such as a meeting.)

- Bad manners.

- At a restaurant... (or anywhere you are getting service) and people you with aren't gracious to the staff.

Strangers who will stop to lecture you about something. Like, if someone's smoking a cigarette, and saying, "You know, those are bad for you."

People who ask for advice and do the exact opposite.

In-laws.

Anyone I see texting while driving.  I don't mind people talking on the phone without a headset, but head down tapping away on the phone resting top of the steering wheel makes me want bad things to happen to you.

People that talk on the phone in an elevator.

A few members of my wife's family are really bad at this.  There have been times where I've pulled the waiter/waitress aside at the end and apologized and told them not to worry about my grumpy family members, and made sure I gave them a decent tip.  They just constantly complain about things that are in no way the server's fault.

Probably my biggest is ballgame behavior.  People who are constantly getting up in the middle of the game to go get food.  There are literally 18 times in a ball game when you can get up and take care of what you need to without getting in anyone's way.  I don't know how many times I've been at a game, and in the top of the first inning, someone gets up and says "OK, I'm going to get some food, anyone want anything?"   You just sat there for an hour and could have done that at any time prior to the game starting. Just drives me nuts, mostly because they get in my kids' way.

It actually speeds up traffic to merge late

If traffic is moving, yes.  Not if it's crawling.

Slow golfers.

This is one of the reasons why I joined a private club.  I don't even know where to start complaining.

A lot of mine come from years of working in a restaurant/bar. So many it could be its own thread.

[Orders a raspeberry daquri with whip cream]. "This isn't strong enough".

"Hello. My name is-"
"Water with lemon" (Fuck off for interuppting me. You put lemon in your water at home? Didn't think so).

Ordering something with so many modifiers its a completely different dish not even on the menu. Then sends it back cause they dont like it.

Oh and about 50 more.

Feel ya on all that. I hate... HATE going to a restaurant with my mom. Any little thing goes wrong and she's kinda a bitch. Regardless of circumstances.

Interestingly, I always put lemon in my water at home, but I don't think I've ever ordered it out somewhere.

Also, if you have some good stories, you ought to send them here: http://bitterempire....or/c-a-pinkham/

Bruh, when I worked at the Ruby Tuesday in OMM, I had a running list of this crap.

The worst, by far, is when people snap their fingers to get your attention.
