I have been to two. The Wyndham in St. Thomas was fantastic, and so was the Secrets in Playa Mujeres.
The Secrets was a lot better to me because there were a whole lot of choices of places to eat all over the resort. Steakhouse, Mexican, Hibachi, Italian, or even just a buffet. The hotel was fantastic, and we had the ability to do what we wanted at our own time, which is especially nice. I had a buzz the entire trip. LOL

Now Jade in Puerto Morelos, Mexico and Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana, DR
Now Jade had excellent food and service and the grounds are really nice. The beach a little rocky but it's a minor complaint.
The Majestic Elegance had the best service by far and the beach was great. The pool was awesome too and they had constant games going on in the pool area.
Can't go wrong in either place.

We have plenty here, but I think Atlantis is the best. Its pricey though.

I went to the Majestic Colonial last year in the DR (actually the same company/location as Sean's, just a different resort) and it was great.

Yeah I forgot about that.
The DR is going to get you the most bang for your buck, but Mexico is always cheap and there are some really high end resorts there. I would recommend staying out of the Cancun Hotel Zone and renting a car. Even if you stay at an AI resort there's a lot you can see and do on your own and a rental car will be around $100 for a week. Driving there is like driving in Florida.

McNulty, that is our list of potentials.
Anyone been to places like St Lucia, St Maartens or Turks and Caicos?? Any all inclusive there?

I've been to St Lucia but didn't stay in an AI resort...we stayed in a rental and drove around on our own.
There's a Sandals there on the northern part of the island and the beaches there were nice when we visited for the day. If you do go there definitely take a tour to the Pitons.

We have jurisdiction over Turks at my office (sorta), so we use it all the time for fuel. The pilots *love* getting stuck there overnight. I've heard so many good things about Provo that its on my list to go.
Hotel McNulty isn't exactly all inclusive but its reasonably priced (free). Seriously, its available (no kids ). This is my development - www.youtube.com/watch?v=1B776GpUbeM
If I were coming to this island, I would look up VRBO or AirBNB and rent a house. I can point you in the right direction after that.
If you are looking to lay around on the beach and have cocktails brought to you, I would consider the Melia to be the best value. Sandals is a little better but more expensive. Breezes is cut rate and it shows. If you are set on Paradise Island, the Best Western (I think) has the cheapest rooms and gives you access to the water park. Just depends on what you want to spend.
Another good thing about Nassau is the flights are plentiful and cheap. I flew round trip to BWI last October for 280 on JetBlue.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Yes. There are several good options here. Clifton Pier has some cool ruins to check out.Do these areas have legit good snorkeling?

Also look at Antigua. More expensive but you definitely get the more refined experience there. Stayed at Hawksbill Resort and they have good snorkeling on site and the best beach I've ever been to is on the island. Darkwoods Beach. A short drive from Hawksbill.
That's on the list.
I'm reading a lot of good things about Anguilla too.
Caymans are a potential as well.

Anguilla is tough to get to. Think you need to fly to Antigua and take a ferry to Anguilla. Involves a full day of travel. Also doubt they have the AI resorts there. Just food for thought.
Interesting. Not real keen on that much travel.
AI is what we want but I want it to be really nice. I'm willing to forgo that if it means getting a good place.
I don't need to spend a lot of money or anything but I don't want some kind of overcrowded touristy place that has mediocre food just to save a few bucks.

I read that Turks and caicos, as well as the Caymans, have good food and great snorkeling.
Basically, we want to swim/snorkel all day, eat some good food and drink.
