Pruning my roster down to my 7 keepers for my 11 team AL only league I'm in.  Looking to keep one of my speedsters who are moderately priced.

Should I go with Dyson at 10 or Leonis Martin at 11.   Martin is a bit younger and has a little more pop, but I like the idea of Dyson, especially with Seattle planning on batting him at lead off.

I'd say look at the rest of your keepers. If Dyson bats lead off, he'll cost you a handful of RBI. Dyson hitting ahead of Seattle's sluggers though, he'll be a candidate to score 100 runs. Based on your other keepers, do you need a guy with pop who may drive in runs, or a guy who will score a bunch of runs?

Also, way to early to have to pick...I hope. See how ST plays out if you can. Get a better read on how they'll be used.

On that note, I get to keep one of the following - and their round they get slotted in. In order of preference

Jacob deGrom - 5
Joc Pederson - 13
Masahiro Tanaka - 6
Andrew Miller - 8

Already keeping Kershaw - 1, Braun - 2, McCutchen - 4, Carpenter - 6, and LeMahieu - 8.

deGrom worries me as an injury concern. But not as much as Tanaka. Joc could end up being great value in the 13th if he breaks out. The talent is there. I would never consider keeping a reliever, but Miller is special, and Tito's use of him was huge in the fantasy playoffs last year. It was like having an extra starter give you 6IP, 1H, 12K, 0ER each week. Negated when a starter shit the bed that week.

Final list isn't due until  March 15th or so, just getting the itch to talk some baseball.  I'll definitely see how they are being used in ST as well before I make a final decision.

I would go with DeGrom or Miller.  If you are already keeping Kershaw I might lean towards Miller, but then again you can never have too many starters.

Just made a nice DD style depth move in my AL only league.  Sent a trade offer to the new owner (who took over another team) and he accepted.   Sent him Beltre (at 25 dollars who I had no intention of keeping) and I'm getting Mancini back.  What makes this a decent move for me, is Mancini still has M contract status in this league and we are allowed to keep 3 M contracts in addition to our 7 keepers.  This gives me an "extra" keeper and a little extra depth.
