I've been working on ranking the top 25 players of the last 25 years (starting in the 91-92 season) and I'll be putting out a series of articles on that in the near future unless Stoner objects. I think I'm better suited to do this than what we did with the best athletes of our lifetime series simply because I've seen all of these players in their primes and really whole careers, and not as a kid.

Please feel free to post any thoughts on this before I post my #21-25 players.

Edit to include links:

21-25

16-20

11-15

6-10

You may be asking what about the rings? Well as some on Baltimore Sports and Life are well aware of, I do not value rings nearly as much as most seem to. I do think they are important, but more important is how players perform when they have legit chances at winning titles

THANK YOU. I like it so far. Obviously, have to see how the rest of it pans out. Glad to see Grant Hill on the list. Such a great player when he was healthy.

Thanks man.

Yeah, as I said, Grant could have ended up a fair amount higher on this list.

Such a shame he had serious injuries derail his career.  And from all sounds of it a great person.

I dont see how Hill can be on a Top 25 list of the last 25 years. Wasn't on the court nearly enough.

He essentially just had a 6 yr career . While you might not place much emphasis on team success, the teams he lead won 50 games only once and never won a  playoff series.

He essentially had a 6 year prime.

He absolutely did not essentially have a 6 year career.

He played on crappy teams for the most part. I chose not to purposely punish players due to their situation.

He was never close to being a player capable of making this list after he left Detroit. There are definitely 25 better options. Let alone 23 since you had him 22

He was an all-star once in Orlando, but his case to me is largely built on those first 6 years, and then a solid rest of the career helps.

I said he's a difficult player to rank, so in this case it largely comes down to how much one values someone's peak compared to career value. I favor peak.

But I certainly understand why some would leave Hill off.

I'll be interested to see if Gary Payton makes your list or who is off it to have Grant on it.

<p>I am pretty sure Shack is thinking of PBR.

Payton started his career one year before the cut-off.
