There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note
"Now OPS sucks. Got it."
"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."
"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Yep... he's wrong, but kinda right a bit too.Speaking of UConn, did anyone see what Geno had to say about men's college basketball?

Well he's right about the pace of play being a problem and I also think he's right that a lot of people confuse crappy offense for good defense.

Contrary to popular belief, the defender does not need to be standing still.
i didn't say he had to be standing still. I said he had to be set, which you said you didn't need to be..which is wrong.
However, with the off ball defender generally gets called for a charge if the feet aren't set and he is essentially standing still. N
But that goes back to my original point...that call has to be changed.

I was assuming you meant he had to be standing still, which is what you seemed to be saying, and I'm betting you did mean, because you're comments don't make sense otherwise. It was a clear charge unless you think the defender has to be stationary to get the call. He went right into the defenders chest. And nothing needs to be changed about that play specifically in the rule book; it was just a terrible call.

It's a combo of everything.I was assuming you meant he had to be standing still, which is what you seemed to be saying, and I'm betting you did mean, because you're comments don't make sense otherwise. If they see your feet moving, as an off the ball defender, in the college game, they call the block every time. Every single replay, the announcers focus on the feet and see if they are moving as an off ball defender. Every time.
And it's not that you have to be standing still, but you can't slide or get in the way of the defender at the last minute.
When you watch that play, the angle from above appeared to show him sliding, ever so subtlety, into Winslow as he was going up. The problem is, I don't think it was definitive that he did move.
At real game speed, that's a 50/50 call every time in the college game.

Still not sure I believe it though.
It almost had to be true though...no one you can miss that.

Or the Lakers.
The Lakers have won far too many games already this year.
