The Bullets/Wizards have not had a 50+ win season since 1978-79, which was they heyday of the Big E, Bobby D and Wes.

I believe I told you after that trade that he’s a pretty good (and underrated) player. Unfortunately, Bub Carrington hasn’t developed as they had hoped he would - at least not yet.
There’s still some things to like about the Wiz. Sarr is becoming a star. Kyshawn George, Tre Johnson, Cam Whitmore all have a lot of potential, but need to become more consistent. George, especially, has a shot to become really good.

I knew only a little about Deni when that trade happened. When you play for the Wizards you tend to live in relative obscurity. You were right on him, and he’s pretty much carried a Blazers team dealing with a lot of injuries early in the season. The Wizards do still get another 1st from Portland, but not until 2029 and it will be whichever is second-highest between the Blazers, Boston and Milwaukee.

And this upcoming draft is LOADED, so they'll get another stud for 2026-27.

The Wizards owe the Knicks their Top 8 protected 1st, so they gotta make sure they finish in the bottom four to guarantee they keep the pick. I don’t think think that’ll be a problem.

They are definitely well on their way!

It’ll be quite a race to the bottom. The Pacers, Nets and Hornets will be stiff competition. And in the West the Jazz find themselves in a similar spot as the Wizards….they owe a Top 8 protected 1st to OKC, so while the Jazz had a couple nice early season wins they will be embracing the suck. And of course there are the Pelicans. Oh the Pelicans.

Sorry for pouring salt in the wound, but he had another triple-double tonight against Oklahoma City, albeit in a losing effort.

I don't think there is anyway they lose the pick to the Knicks.
