You get a new piece after every 200 points or so. We can adjust that as neeeded.

Does karma reset every day? It could be something with my phone but it looks like people (like Ricker for example) have less karma this AM than last night...

Noticed this as well, Sam will provide clarification on the karma numbers later. Do not believe there is daily reset, believe reduction occurred as Sam was attempting to set up system for the long term.

Hey, that was my fault, I was playing with the karma power settings. I changed it back, everyone's numbers should be back to normal now and going forward.

I made an adjustment to the karma system. You will now have a progress indicator on your way to earning your next piece. You get a new pip after every 50 points. You earn a new piece after about 800 points.

No, the green bar (and subsequently yellow, and red bars) will indicate your progress towards the next piece.

We have made an adjustment to the karma system.

You will now get the full Maryland flag swatch once you receive 600 karma points. You will still progress through each piece going through the green/yellow/red pips, just at a much faster rate now.

At some time in the future, we will add some more badges below/in addition to the flag swatch once people start reaching numbers that high. It will be retroactive, so you will always get credit for all of your points, regardless of whether the system is in place yet or not.
