The Razzies come out around the same time as the Oscars. Maybe Fox Sports 1 should do their own show of Sports Razzies, I think that could be more entertaining than the ESPY's.

I think you're letting your conference bias get in the way here. It's absurd to even make a case for McDermott when Winston just had as dominant a freshman campaign as any player the NCAA has ever seen. And I like McDermott, but your simply barking up the wrong tree here.
Whether it was his freshman or senior season is irrelevant to whether he was better than McDermott or not.

The fans vote. This fan doesn't think it's irrelevant. So you're wrong.

Well, yes and no. It probably shouldn't be relevant, but the voters, whoever they are, probably took that into account.

A lot of fans also see him as a thieving rapist.
(not me, but they're out there.)

Sure... There are plenty of racist assholes still left in this world.

Way more college football obsessives, though.

Isn't it a complicated formula? Isn't it some fans voting, some media? And I would think the fans voting, would be more like 20% of the total?

He wasn't a break out candidate. I guess they thought going from 30+ to 50+ wasn't really a breakout. But he is a candidate for best MLB Player.
Was Jose Bautista nominated for this category?

Thats BS, and I knew it was going to be soccer (or patriotism). It was a first group play game against a beatable opponent, not quite Landon's goal that pushed htem

The best moment. Patriotism will usually win out. Like I referenced Landon's goal against Algeria would've been an OK winner to me.

Not watching. Thanks. I still think the Ghana game was a better moment than Mo's final game and Durant's MVP speech.

It's something the whole country can identify with and it's more than a sports moment. Not surprised it won. It would've been my #3.

Really? I just don't see how a speech is a better moment... nor a last game which featured a guy doing exactly what he's done 1,830,298 other times. How many "moments" has the USA had like they had vs. Ghana? Especially in the fashion that it happened? That was pretty epic. I'll never forget it.

Yeah really, if it happened later and/or against a better opponent (Germany or Belgium), I probably would've chosen it. I don't quite see it as a guy doing the same thing he's always done, that's very simplistic. way of looking at it IMO.
