Greg Norman comes up short at the Masters one more time
Incredible 65 by Mickelson today to get to -8 and solo 2nd right now after Brooks’ dropped shot.

Looks like Koepka tired out cuz he wasn't used to playing four rounds in four days.
Seriously though - does anybody know the condition of the greens at Rocky Point? I haven't played one of the local munis since the pandemic, but when I did, they were especially spongey.

The buried lede there is embarrassing. Norman and Mickelson (and yesterday’s loser, Koepka) are douche bags.

I'm sure some of the narrative with Koepka winning is that this will somehow boost LIV. I don't see it that way. LIV still has all the same issues it did before today....it's still an exhibition, where participants are mostly paid just for showing up, with lousy/no TV exposure, and financed by a bad actor. If my Twitter feed is any indication, a guy who no one likely heard of before today and finished 15th is the bigger story right now.

Well he’d be the biggest story regardless. He’s a club pro who played the best four days of his life. Including a hole in one on 15 today.

Yup. Specifically the PGA title. Its funny AF
Yea Koepka is ridiculous. I actually love that a LIV golfer won the PGA title.

One thing Koepka winning might do for LIV, as far as enticing other big name golfers, is remove any stigma that existed that by regularly playing just 54 you won't hold up through 4 rounds....something that might have gained steam when Koepka flamed out in the final round at Augusta.

Two different organizations though (PGA of America vs PGA Tour).

Fair enough on a technical level. The optics for a lot of casual fans is an LIV golfer won the PGA Tours branded tournament.

Again, the LIV is gonna go away at some point. It wont be successful. Ive never hated anyone for taking the huge paycheck and running to the bank. Ive found myself rooting for some of them in the majors unless I had a few dollars on someone else.
