There have been 15?

They're not all world cup related.

I never had friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?

They're not all world cup related.

They don't all have to be WC matches to be "big", but when you start adding friendlies (#15), you need to scale back the list.

Less than half (7) of them are. I have a hard time including a friendly.

There have been 15?

They had to include a friendly, so there's that.

I would consider that U-20 World Cup from 2007(?) when Altidore, Bradley, and Freddy Adu had a nice run in the tournament and beat Brazil (team featuring David Luiz, Pato, Willian, Jo, Marcelo, etc) and Uruguay (featuring Luis Suarez).

Doubt that qualifies with this criteria, just the regular USMNT matches. If you include the women, you could probably argue that the 1999 Final should be #1.

Can't believe they didn't bite on that, especially putting a friendly on the list.

With all the celebration today, we might as well give this loss an honorable mention. First time the US has made it to the knockout stage in back-to-back tournaments, so that's something.
