I've long believed that James Harrison is the single most stupid man in all of sports, which is really saying something.  I've only seen the first episode of Hard Knocks this year (have others aired), but the way he acted in that episode and the comments he makes here continue to affirm that belief.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he can't read.

Just watched the first episode of Hard Knocks. My favorite part was easily the Oklahoma Drills. There's not another drill that exmplifies the true nature of the game than the Oklahoma Drill, IMHO. I hated it, which is why I wasn't a very good football player. But growing up, I've come to appreciate it.

Zimmer is impressive. I'm surprised he isn't a head coach yet. Hue Jackson, not so much... just something about him didn't sit too well with me, though I know the Ravens have always liked him apparently, so I'm sure I'm wrong on him.

Harrison is a crazy SOB. That's all I'll say about him.

HBO does an amazing job with this stuff.

Always very sad to see the injuries and how they can so quickly derail a young guys dreams.

The Bengals are pretty talented, both sides of the ball.

Gruden sounds exactly like his brother. I love Hard Knocks and will watch it regardless of what team is on it. I thought Lewis was going to faint when Green went down.

Yep, you could tell he was freaking out a bit, for good reason. Agreed with Stoner too, they're incredibly talented. Barnard looks really good.

I thought it was hilarious that they kept hitting him hard.

Not a lot happened last night. I never knew who Margus Hunt was before the episode.

Anybody watch Hard Knocks last night?

I thought the Campbell vs Harrison arm wrestling match was hilarious. What did it take Harrison, 1 second?

Bengals put away Steelers 20-10

Giovani Bernard scores 2 TDs and the Bengals D harrasses Roethlisberger.

Steelers offense looks worse than the Ravens right now. They can not and don't appear to want to run the ball. They can't throw further than 15 yards downfield. They were 3-12 on Third Down.

Still I wouldn't count them out quite yet in the AFC North. In order to win they'll need to ugly things up which they've shown they can do from the past.

Bengals cheerleading rules (Deadspin)

The appearance section also prohibits gum chewing while "representing" the team, mandates the use of contacts for the near- or far-sighted, and reserves for the cheer director the right to change a Ben-Gal's hair or makeup as "feels necessary." Also: "Stay away from frosted lip sticks and eye shadows. Management will determine your proper color analysis." As always, "Glamour is a priority!"
