He was part ofthe AGon trade and now deemed expendable since Cinci traded them Alonso.
Very impressive potential. Struggled in a SSS at the major league level this year.
The problem is I am not sure we matchup with San Diego unless Matusz or Jones are on the table.
Anthony Rizzo: Should he now be our #1 target?

The Orioles are going to have difficulties trading for talented players with upside because they have very few attractive chips. We all get the sense that Buck's presence mean there's very little chance that Markakis, Wieters, Jones and Hardy get traded. Duke is going to want to hold onto any minor league talent with significant upside because the O's aren't in a position to trade those type of players; one reason is the spot in their division, the other reason is that they don't have much high upside talent in the minors to begin with. I just don't see what Baltimore would offer that would make San Diego trade away Rizzo when they'll likely have more than few trade partners for him.

I would pass on Rizzo personally. I'm not really a fan. I think BOS sold high on him and I don't think he's ever going to hit enough to stick in the bigs. Feel the same way about Blanks to a degree. The only one I feel pretty solid about is Alonso. I think you'll see SD move at least one of the 3 very quickly, and it's least likely to be Alonso. Rizzo is the name being mentioned because they want to sell high before he gets exposed and loses value a la BMat.

If it would take Rizzo + To get Garza, that should tell you what Rizzo's value is. I wouldn't deal Guthrie straight up for him, Johnson neither.

For several reasons, I am not a big proponent of chasing him too much.
A nervous breakdown divided into nine innings.
